Dallas Fuel's recently signed tank, Minseok "OGE" Son, has been suspended from Overwatch League for four matches for account boosting.
For those who do not know, account boosting is when a skilled player is paid to increase another player’s ranking — in the case of Overwatch, it’s Skill Rating. According to the report on the Overwatch League website, this is “contrary to the values” of the eSports league, as well as violates the Blizzard End User License agreement.
OGE was added to the Dallas Fuel’s roster earlier this month, taking on the tank role. He was to make his debut at the beginning of Stage 3 of Overwatch League‘s Inaugural Season.
Dallas Fuel’s players have garnered the most disciplinary actions in the league thus far. Earlier this month, Timo “Taimou” Kettunen was fined $1,000 for using anti-gay slurs while streaming. Former Fuel tank, FĂ©lix “xQc” Lengyel, had been suspended and fined twice, inevitably leading to his release from the team.
